In this post, I'd like to give you an elevator pitch on a tool that I have used extensively to provide engaging asynchronous language practice for my students. It's called H5P.
What is H5P?
H5P is an open-source rich HTML5 content creator
What skill sets is it good for?
All four: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
What's it good for?
Preparatory (before-class) and consolidation (after-class) activities are a cinch with it.
Why will it work for me?
It gives your students automatic feedback and tabulates their results (number of tries and final score) and is accessible from anywhere. It also works relatively well for right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew).
Anything else I should know?
